In early 2011 Metropix approached us to design there Australian distribution channel.
Metropix is a cost effective, high quality online floorplan drawing tool. Metropix had already established a market in the UK largely through the quality of their product, and word of mouth. Establishing a foothold in Australia required an online presence that effectively communicated the benefits to the local market.
The client needed a content heavy website, that not only sold the benefits of the product, but also offered an efficent means for the user the learn specific details. The client also needed a content management system that was easy to use without limiting the design of the site.
The timeline was short and the budget relatively tight.
Consulting extensively with the client we developed detailed wireframes, allowing us to structure the large amount of content logically while maintaining a solid user experience.
We strove to design an aesthetically impressive presence while maintaining strict user experience and usability requirements. Every aspect from the homepage to the pricing table has been meticulously designed to be simple to read while effectively communicating the Metropix brand and quality.
The results were almost immediate. Within the space of weeks, and without an ad campaign, Metropix had enough signups to sustain Australia distribution.
Users found the sign up process painless and were able to easily learn extensive details about the product through the through support pages.
Subscriptions for the Metropix service continue to grow.
