Feed The Walrus (FTW) are a mobile, scalable video and film production studio. In their own words FTW offer the “…world’s best facilities and talent, at a moment’s notice anywhere a client requires them.”
In the middle of 2011 FTW approached us with an ambitious brief for their online portfolio and presence.
They required a hub to promote their brand and services, but more importantly a way to show off their extensive video portfolio. This required their staff to be able to easily post multiple and large video files utilising a third party video service. FTW also required much of the content to be viewable across platforms, including iPad.
Begining with detailed sitemaps and wireframes, Tamale first had to assemble an efficient way to tie the complex set of requirements and content together, including third party video delivery systems, a content management system, and a user friendly website.
Having established the specific requirements we moved onto the design phase. Working closely with FTW’s brand development team in New York we found a way to create a sophisticated yet lively website that communicated the brands’ personality while maintaining a sensible user experience.
Feed the Walrus’ brand has gone from being perceived as a small provincial studio, to a large global operation with a wealth of experience and professional polish.
Users can now easily access individual items in FTW’s large portfolio and do so from almost any platform.
