A Slice of Orange (ASOO) is a boutique regional food store in Orange NSW offering amazing food products from local suppliers.

The Brief

The retail landscape is changing rapidly and because Orange is some distance from major centres ASOO needed to expand their reach to make their products accessible to a wider audience. Not only did ASOO wish to sell online they also wanted to spread their love of the region and local produce to the rest of Australia.

The Strategy

Tamale planned and designed an ecommerce solution for hundreds of products that is robust, scalable and easy to manage. The Magento ecommerce platform that not only provided users with access to ASOO’s products but also provided a showcase of local events, recipes and information for deeper consumer engagement and to reflect the brand ethos.

The Outcome

The website enables ASOO to quickly and easily update products, promote specials, sell and redeem gift vouchers and maintain their boutique personality while reaching a much wider audience.

Email newsletters integrate with Magento and Mail Chimp, enabling easy updates, management of subscriber lists and tracking of sales from email to checkout. The newsletters along with Facebook and Twitter integration have enabled better customer retention and vastly expanded sales opportunities.
